Some time ago, I made a lot of progress on a comic story that I was initially very enthused about. It was a story that combined lots of elements I liked, but the storytelling itself was very lacking. I ended up abandoning that project as I really dug into the reason WHY stories are good, captivating, and relatable. The character of Koji is something of a successor to that story- the character still carries a banjo, has a pangolin familiar, and remains somewhat aloof from others. The story he inhabits, however, is completely different. The video below, which talks about character arcs, touches on the story of Koji, and the methods I used to create it.
